The Heart Behind Home
Before there were gatherings, there was a longing:
that no heart would feel unseen, unwanted, or without a place to belong.
Before There Was A Table
Home is something we all innately long for.
Before we ever understand the word, we are shaped by the
presence of being held, known, protected, and welcomed. A
child can enter a world unfamiliar and uncertain, yet still feel
at rest through the warmth of love, safety, and care. I believe
this was always God’s design.
But when safety, dignity, or belonging are absent, something
deep within us begins searching for what was lost.
Much of my life was marked by instability, trauma, and the
ache of never fully feeling at home — not in places,
relationships, or even within myself. I knew what it felt like to
long for safety, connection, and a place where my heart
could finally exhale.
As I grew older, I realized that longing was not unique to me.
There were so many people quietly carrying the same ache:
to be seen,
to be chosen,
to be welcomed,
to belong.
The Heart Behind Home For Your Heart
Over time, God began restoring my understanding of what
home truly means.
Home was never just a house.
It was presence.
Safety.
Communion.
Dignity.
Love that does not need to be earned.
Slowly, I began noticing how healing often happened in the smallest moments:
around dinner tables,
through shared meals,
through laughter,
through intentional spaces where people felt safe enough to
be themselves.
God began planting a vision in my heart:
that maybe tables could become places of restoration.
Not just physical tables,
but spaces where people could encounter dignity,
belonging, nourishment, and connection.
A Table Prepared With Care
Throughout scripture, tables represented more than food.
Tables were places of communion.
Places of welcome.
Places where people were seen and restored.
“You prepare a table before me…”
Planting Tables was born from this vision:
to embody dignity through intentional spaces of belonging
where youth and young adults can be seen, known,
nourished, and welcomed home to a place prepared with care.
Every detail matters because people matter.
The conversations.
The warmth.
The music.
The shared meals.
The intentionality.
Not performance.
Not perfection.
Presence.
Why We Gather
Many young people carry invisible grief, isolation, rejection,
instability, or the feeling that they do not fully belong anywhere.
Planting Tables exists to gently interrupt that narrative.
We gather to remind people:
You are wanted here.
You do not have to earn your seat.
Your story matters.
There is still beauty, dignity, and purpose within you.
Sometimes healing begins simply by being welcomed to the table.
The Vision Still Growing
What began as a longing for home has become a growing
vision for spaces where people can gather, heal, create,
rest, and encounter the heart of God through community.
The long-term vision is to one day steward land and spaces
intentionally designed for restoration, belonging,
discipleship, creativity, hospitality, and communion.
A place where tables are continually prepared.
A place where hearts can remember what home feels like.
There Is A Seat For You Here.
Whether you arrive carrying joy, grief, questions,
exhaustion, hope, or longing —
there is a place for you here.
The table is still being prepared.
